City councilor for the environment and transport, Marit Kristine Vea, was on hand to test the charging facilities at Alnabru and emphasised the crucial role of dedicated charging infrastructure for heavy vehicles. As she highlighted, when the municipality and the private business community can work together as we have done here, electric trucks become even more attractive.
The charging station is adapted to heavy transport, easy to navigate and equipped with 10 cutting-edge Kempower fast chargers, with a total of 3MW in charging capacity. This setup ensures that heavy vehicles can be efficiently charged during a working day. In just over a month of operation, we’ve seen a steady increase in station activity, and we’re excited to see many more trucks benefiting from Norway’s largest truck-specific charging station!
A huge congratulations to the Fastcharge team and everyone else who was involved in making this station a reality. The team is already planning to open three more stations by the end of this year and expand Fastcharge's network even further.
Thank you to Klimaetaten i Oslo kommune for their support and to everyone who braved the rainy weather to celebrate a milestone achievement with us.
