Sustainability in Real Estate

The real estate and construction sector plays a pivotal role in shaping the environment, making sustainability a critical responsibility. Across our portfolio, we apply sustainability through targeted actions, including prioritizing energy-efficient upgrades, integrating renewable energy systems, and ensuring all assets align with green building certifications such as BREEAM. We actively evaluate and reduce the carbon footprint of properties under management by leveraging innovative technologies, sustainable materials, and data-driven insights. By combining strategic planning with a long-term perspective, we create measurable economic, social, and environmental value, ensuring our portfolio contributes to a more sustainable future.

Recent sustainability achievements

Apollo

Sustainability was a key consideration when Lyko and Obligo entered into a new 20-year lease agreement in 2022. Consequently, 500 kW photovoltaic panels were installed, and the BREEAM In-Use Excellent certification was achieved during the fourth quarter of 2024.

PFA

Obligo is optimizing energy efficiency in our Karlstad and Kil portfolio, implementing over 80 measures such as ventilation upgrades, adding insulation, and installing water aerators. Set for completion in 2025, the project is expected to deliver an annual saving of ~SEK 500,000 while promoting sustainability.

Tomteboda

Under our ownership, Tomteboda has evolved from an outdated asset into an ESG frontrunner. It now features one of Stockholm's largest solar systems (400,000 kWh annually), advanced energy-efficient systems, and a BREEAM-In Use "Excellent" certification. The property offers gyms, e-bike charging, and social spaces, setting a high standard for sustainable, modern properties.
