Falcon Wind AB, a portfolio company managed by Obligo (co-owned by Bestinver’s fund, Bestinver Infra II and Obligo’s fund ONCIF), has taken a decisive step forward in 2025. Through expanded ownership across five operational wind parks and the successful refinancing of the portfolio following completed transactions, Falcon has reached a major milestone - one that reflects disciplined execution in a market that rewards scale, operational excellence, and asset quality.

Today, the Falcon platform comprises 39 wind turbines with 84 MW of installed capacity, delivering approximately 220 GWh of annual production. This represents a platform that is 300% larger than just one year ago. The rapid expansion highlights a focused growth strategy and a proven ability to deploy capital efficiently into high-quality, cash-generating renewable assets.

Falcon is now diversified across eight wind parks, seven of which are majority-owned. Power production is strategically concentrated in Sweden’s strongest southern price zones - SE4 (47%) and SE3 (45%), with selective exposure to SE2 (8%). This positioning supports robust pricing dynamics and reinforces Falcon’s role as a reliable, system-relevant contributor to Southern Sweden’s energy supply.

Our strategy is consistent and execution-driven: acquire proven renewable assets, unlock long-term value through active ownership, and extend operational life to maximize returns. Value creation is driven by hands-on portfolio management through OPEX reduction, revenue optimization via ancillary services such as mFRR, improved capture prices through strategic curtailment, and continuous evaluation of dynamic hedging strategies where value-accretive.
