We are thrilled to announce that our portfolio company Solgrid, has successfully commissioned the Mörghult solar power plant just outside Västervik in Småland. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development in the Nordics, contributing to reduced CO2 emissions and to the Paris Agreement.

The Mörghult solar power plant, developed in collaboration with Encavis AG, began construction in May 2023 and is now fully operational, producing an impressive 15.1 GWh of electricity annually. This output is equivalent to the yearly consumption of approximately 755 Swedish households.

Chosen for its optimal solar radiation and proximity to the power grid, the Mörghult site was previously used for forestry. The new solar plant repurposes this land for a productive and sustainable future while preserving areas of significant natural value, including a forest area with valuable oaks in the north-eastern part of the facility.

This achievement underscores Solgrid's expertise and ambitious plans to expand renewable energy in the Nordics. With a strong project portfolio and upcoming constructions, we are excited to see the positive impact of this power plant and proud to contribute to a greener future.
