Visiting our portfolio company's flagship carbon capture plant in Rakkestad!

The Obligo team had the pleasure of visiting the Carbon Centric site in Rakkestad, and we were truly impressed. Now in the final stages of construction, this full-scale carbon capture plant is a major step forward in tackling industrial emissions. Designed to capture 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually from a small-scale waste incinerator, the Rakkestad facility showcases Carbon Centric’s innovative approach to scalable and cost-efficient carbon capture. The liquid gas produced at Rakkestad and will be sold in an offtake agreement to Linde Gas, one of the world's largest industrial gas companies. It was incredibly rewarding to see the dedication of the Carbon Centric team firsthand, and to exchange insights and updates on this pioneering project.
