Obligo, together with our partners at Hafslund are thrilled to announce the opening of FastCharge's first dedicated fast charging site for electric trucks in Alnabru, Oslo. Built with funding support from Klimaetaten i Oslo kommune, this pioneering project marks a significant milestone in Europe’s transition to an electrified truck segment.

Partnering with Kempower and Wennstrom E-mobility, FastCharge is leading the way in providing advanced DC fast-charging solutions for heavy vehicles. As Norway’s largest public charging site exclusively designed for heavy vehicles, this new site is a game-changer for the industry. The charging site will offer up to 400kW of power per chargepoint.

“We aim to be the natural choice for transportation companies by offering a premium service, and at the same time facilitating the transition to electrification of the transportation fleet with reduced total cost of ownership,” comments Harald Grytten, CEO at Fastcharge.

This initiative aligns perfectly with Norway’s ambitious goal of having all new trucks sold be electric by 2030. Road transportation accounts for 17% of the country's greenhouse gas emissions, and extensive fast-charging infrastructure is crucial for achieving this target. The first charging site will be followed by five further charging sites in the municipalities of Ringsaker, Sandefjord, Gjesdal, Bergen, and Malvik.

The official opening event will take place on Thursday 22nd August, get in touch if you are interested in attending!
